IPC was formerly known as the International Auditors and Training Certification Association (IATCA), and was founded in 1995. In 2003, in order to better meet the market's demand for professional certification, the name and positioning of Chicago was adjusted to ✴️International Personnel Certification Association (IPC)✴️. The core business of IPC is to develop certification programs for professionals and to accredit training providers and courses.
The purpose of IPC is to ensure the standards of certification bodies to meet the society’s needs for professional skills. As a "program owner", IPC not only has a certification program, but also clearly sets various skills certification rules and requirements. However, the IPC itself does not authenticate directly, and these tasks are performed by members of its Multilateral Agreement (MLA).
IPC's "IPC Management System Auditor Certification Program" was recognized at the 31st IAF Conference held in Vancouver, Canada from October 28 to 30, 2017, and is also the first IAF official certification program. This represents greater consistency and integrity of the management system auditor certificate issued around the world.
